Managed to get a pair of free tickets to Phantom and was rather looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we left the esplanade feeling pretty disappointed. It just didn't seem as good as the one I first watched almost a decade ago, which to be honest, I can't really recall much. But what I know is that last night's show certainly did not leave an impression. They did a good job with the props though. Pretty stunning. I must say I'm a little ashamed of myself cos there were moments where I started nodding off! Blame it on the cramps and splitting headache I had lah. :)

Oh and we had a free dinner at Thai Express. All because we had to wait half an hour for a freaking bowl of glass noodles tom yum fish soup, despite asking 3 different wait staff to check on our orders. None had the courtesy to come back to us to let us know what went wrong and we were just waiting and waiting. Idiot. Mike had it and stormed towards the manager and complained. The manager was very apologetic and said the meal was FOC. Damn! Should have ordered more! Haha!

The waiting game....
Work's just getting mundane nowadays. You'd never guess what I look forward to every morning on my way to work. Sipping my fav low-fat Cafe 21 coffee in my pretty cosy cubicle, flipping the newspapers, watching news, clearing my emails and replying to msn msgs all at the same time. Ain't I good at multi-tasking? haha.

But this perfect picture starts to fade away come 10am when tons of email start coming in, asking you for a million things. If you don't already know, they play the waiting game here. It's frustrating when you don't have the answers simply because other depts are procrastinating or they simply do not reply emails. Come on, why have an email account when you don't even bother reading the emails or replying them! And then comes the famous quote: "Why never update me?" Hello?? Check your freaking email! And next comes the blame game. It's a whole vicious cycle lah. No point elaborating here. Or rather, better not elaborate here. I'm not a risk-taker. :)

Thank god there's msn. I don't think I can survive a day in office without it.

Long weekend......Not...
It was a well-spent PH. To me at least. Cos I simply nua-ed the whole day, except for the BBQ we had in the evening at West Coast with Cheryl, Mike and gang. Never really a big fan of BBQ cos of the hassle. But strangely enough, I found myself enjoying turning the satay sticks, buttering the chicken wings, poking the sausages....ok ok you get the gist. Maybe because I wasn't that hungry. Well in any case, the guys were comfortably seated and chomping down food while the girls were inhaling smoke and sweating buckets of what is probably equivalent to an hour session of kick-boxing. Ok ok it's not that bad lah. Ended the night with several rounds of the mafia game where losers had to drink - green tea, rootbeer, beer, water...you name it.

Met up with some primary school classmates for coffee on Saturday. It's always nice reminiscing about the past and laughing over the silly things that we did everytime we meet up. One of them will be a father soon in 3 weeks time. And to think he used to be such a playful crybaby!

Sunday had to come so soon. And the feeling sucks. Pre-Monday blues that is. Went for driving lesson after a hiatus of 2 months. Was rather nervous as I tot I'd be rusty. The first thing the instructor made me do was the directional change and vertical parking. I was like errr...full lock left or right ah? Felt so silly! Luckily all went well after that. :)

Had dinner with my family at Ichiban Boshi at Esplanade. Big mistake. Carpark charges are now $5.50 per entry. Just because Phantom is on now. What crap is that. How can they also penalise those who are not there for Phantom but just to dine? The queue at the restaurant was not exactly long but we had to wait more than half an hour. Just because there were only 2 seaters left and the booths for 6 were all occupied and one of them by a couple. Shouldn't the wait staff place them at the 2 seaters, knowing jolly well that the restaurant's gonna be packed at that time? First come first serve some may say, but I say (crudely) use your brain lah!

There's always a first time....
I've always been spending time on the net, reading other people's blogs and realising that there are actually so many things that I dunno about them and now I know! Not forgetting some surprises and shockers as well!

So here I am, having the urge to blog. But feeling lazy as well. Ha. Am challenging myself to see how long my blogging urge can last. Multiply didn't go down well with me and I think I only blogged like once every 6 months!

Went for Cardio Latino with Noelle yesterday. It was great fun! Lots of booty shaking and hip swaying. And I finally got to see Noelle dance! Ok not really dancing but at least I saw her swaying her hips! Have been best friends for 15 years, I swear I've not seen her dance nor sing! Noelle, I know you will be nodding your head furiously when you read this! haha!

After a sweaty workout, we headed for some food and drinks at Giraffe. So much for the hour exercise we had just now huh. Ordered a hoegarden each and shared a thai popiah and crumbed mushrooms. 4 miserable mushrooms to be exact. How SMALL a portion can it be for the price of $8.90! We make better beer-battered mushrooms! Right noelle? Nice ambience, neat drinks menu and pretty good service. Too bad about the limited and pricey food. Oh and it closes at 10.30pm. We were like huh? Oh well....
