♥ Fuchsia Pinky ♥
29 September 2008
20092008 - the special day where Mike and Cheryl exchanged their wedding vows. Sweet couple indeed despite a few hiccups along the way (which couple doesn't have?). Glad to know they have found themselves a soulmate to last a lifetime. Here's wishing them a blissful marriage!

33 days to go. Unbelievable. Time just slipped by so quickly and i'm like suddenly swarmed with so many unfinished wedding tasks and all the other nitty gritty stuff. This is kind of like a last lap and I just want to enjoy the process of preparing for the wedding while it lasts!

So weekends are spent hunting for bed frames, mattresses and jewellery. Too many choices may not be a good thing at times. A fickle-minded person like me takes forever to decide! Met up with the florist and banquet manager to finalise on the decor, food and programme for the night. Guo Da Li is gonna be on 18 Oct, which is my birthday too. heh. That's when my little pink room will be nicely done up. The other room has one side of the wall painted yellow. Very cheery! Here's a sneak peek of my wallS. Pardon the messiness pls.

Oh and we've chosen the pics for our wedding album. Got back all the pics from our photographer as well. All 700+ pics! Here are two of my many favourites.

Nice? :)

Things are slowly falling into place and finally, some sense of urgency.

There's still the daunting task of confirming the guest list and drawing up the seating plan. Painting's gonna start tomorrow and I can't wait to see my bright pink wall in my new room.

And I have yet to get my new bed. TV points are finally fixed and can't wait to watch my HK serials on the new Samsung LCD. Photo album layout is done and the final product is expected in 2 to 3 weeks time. Food tasting is scheduled at the end of the month. Tickets to London booked. At a fantastic deal! Awesome. Hotels in London and LA not booked yet. Well done. Weight and fat loss zilch. In fact I feel heavier and fatter. Dammit.

Was craving for steamboat so headed to Paradise on Earth at Katong with XJ and JJ. Pretty decent variety and i love the tom yam and fish soup!

Was given free tickets to Misia's concert on Sat. Despite the language barrier (so much for taking up Jap lessons!), I must say the concert was quite an awesome one. It's the one and only concert I've been to that I see everybody standing up to dance at the very first song and still dancing during the last song! Fantastic crowd. Credit to the many Japanese who were the ones who made the concert so much livelier.

And we had supper at Wan Dou Sek at Geylang. So that explains why i'm not losing any more weight!

Exactly 61 more days. And it's like O.M.G. Time is passing way too fast!
Dammit.

I wish it isn't so. Not that I'm getting cold feet or anything, it's just that I really still wanna enjoy the wedding preparation process. Family, cousins and friends are tsk-tsk-ing me for taking it so easy even though the date is drawing nearer and my to-do list is not even half done. Come to think of it, it's not even done! But hey, chill man. The things will get done eventually. I'm glad Mike is on the same page as me on this! heh.

You know wat. I think I'm gonna draw up my to-do list right here right now.
God knows when I'll have the sudden urge again to do it.

1) Buy a new bed for my room
2) Decide on the colour of my room wall
3) Order wedding cakes for Guo Da Li
4) Buy Guo Da Li stuff
5) Buy Si Dian Jin
6) Buy earrings (supposedly a gift from my popo)
7) Confirm guest list/no.of tables
8) Decide on colour of Jie Meis' dress
9) Round up the Jie Meis for a meet-up
10) Prepare run-down of Actual Day schedule
11) Decide on surprise element during wedding dinner
12) Prepare photo montage
13) Send photographer and videographer AD programme run-down
14) Settle wedding cards
15) Call Starhub to fix tv points
16) Last lap of body toning!

There should be more. But can't think of anymore right now. But I think that's more than enough to keep me occupied! The wedding's not the only thing on my mind though. There's still work to take care of and oh, not forgetting my biz and honeymoon trip which are all happening in Nov too.
Adding on to the to-do list:

17) Book air tickets to London for biz trip
18) Book accomodation in London
19) Get winter clothings and boots (Kat's so sweet to offer to lend me her warm clothings)
20) Plan programme for F&E in London
21) Book accomodation for extended stay in States
22) Plan programme for F&E in LA
23) Buy luggage (mine's so small!)

November's gonna be one hell of a hectic month for me! But I can't be complaining can i? :) It's probably gonna be the loveliest and most memorable month ever!
